MP Lobbying – How you can help
The Brain Tumour All Party Group, which was set up on 11th July 2005, consists currently of 43 MPs representing different political parties and the House of Lords.
The Chair is John Bercow (Con) MP for Buckingham, with Vice Chairs: Evan Harris (LD) MP for Oxford & Abingdon and Betty Williams (Lab) MP for Conwy. Secretariat will be provided by Ali’s Dream.
The aims of the Brain Tumour All Party Group are:
“To raise awareness of the issues facing the brain tumour community and to increase funding to improve education, information, specialisation, support and research”
The group will be able to raise the issues in the House of Commons through: Parliamentary Questions, Adjournment Debates and Early Day Motions.
The group will meet three times a year to discuss relevant issues. They will also be invited to brain tumour research and treatment centres to discuss issues with front-line professionals, patients and carers.
Visit your MP and help us raise awareness
An MP represents the interests of their constituents regardless of whether you voted for them or not. Many of them hold surgeries in their constituencies
We are putting together an up to date pack of the issues facing the brain tumour community. You can use this pack as a reference point for your MP and to leave with them. If you feel you could go along and see your MP and make them aware of our issues, please let us know by downloading and completing this form and we will send you the pack.
Together we will make a difference
