Alveston schoolboy gave up his golden locks recently to boost the fight against brain tumours.

Rescheduled due to bad weather... A Five a Side Football Tournament in aid of Hammer Out is being held at Bridgwater Town Football Club on Sunday 24th June. Kick off is at 11am. As you may know, Hammer Out is funding a 3 year research programme at Frenchay Hospital into methods for targeting specific chemotherapy treatment. BBC News science and technology writer Ivan Noble was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumour in August 2002, and died recently. As a book of his columns comes out, and a bursary remembering him is launched, his wife Almut has decided it's time to talk publicly for the first time.

One of our aims is to improve services for people affected by brain tumours. A national survey has been produced by the Brain & Spine Foudation to find out about the different experiences of both patients and carers.
