Sponsored Bike Ride

Gary Harris has recently had a brain stem tumour removed.  His colleagues at Park Furnishers paid for a private brain scan for him as there was a long waiting time on the NHS.  Following which he had the tumour removed - without the operation he would have only lived another couple of weeks which would have been too late had he waited for the NHS scan!

Hammer Out met Gary at the Bristol Biggest Bike Ride last June.  He is now doing a bike ride for Hammer Out and Action Medical Research, with the money being split evenly between us.  On May 5th he is hoping to cycle from Bristol to Aberystwth and back in 24 hours - approx 260 miles in total.
