Since its conception in early 2002, Hammer Out has striven to provide support and care for those affected by brain tumours as well as raise awareness and education about this debilitating disease. In this time we have:

• Helped fund the ongoing work of both Macmillan Cancer Relief and the UK Brain Tumour Society
• Set up monthly support group meetings for people with brain tumours and their carers in the South West
• Helped fund pioneering research at Frenchay Hospital into effectively targeting the right treatment for the most susceptible tumours

Hammer Out is always looking for offers of help and support and just one of the ways you can help us is through financial giving. All of our funding is achieved through voluntary giving and if you would like to make a donation to Hammer Out, here are a number of ways you can do this:

• A single donation (on-line or off-line)
• A regular donation by standing order
• Organise a sponsored event
• Enhance your donation through Gift Aid, at no expense to yourself
• Payroll giving where you donate straight from your pay

Now that we have our full charity status we would like to enlist the help of the taxman in boosting our funds. If you are a UK tax payer we can reclaim the tax you have already paid earning the money you donate to us. We do this without any cost to you - all it takes is one simple form.

If your employer is part of the Payroll Giving scheme, you can make a regular tax-free donation to Hammer Out direct from your pay or pension. As the donation comes out of your pay before you pay tax, the money you would have paid in tax comes to Hammer Out instead. Also, the government is adding 10% to every donation until April 2004.
