72 people turned up for the walk, ages ranging from 8 weeks to 91years young. It was a memorable day and one we will all treasure because of Bill. It may even become an annual event.

Bill and Judy Dungey from Shirehampton will be doing a 5 mile walk from Shirehampton to Pill raising money for Brain Tumour Charity Hammer Out.

Bill was diagnosed in June 2003 with an agressive brain tumour and has had several surgeries, radiotherapy and chemotherapy but sadly the last scan has shown that the tumour has grown back

He and Judy came along to the Hammer Out support group for the first time in October 2003 and they really want to raise money because of the support which they feel they are getting from Hammer Out.

Anyone attending the walk will be encouraged to take turns to push Bill, who is now unable to walk very far himself. The walk is on Sunday 20th June at 12.30pm.

The meeting point is The Lamplighters pub in Shirehampton. Anyone is welcome to turn up on the day. They have recruited more than forty friends and family and felt that Fathers Day was a good day to do it on.
