Hammer Out offers a counselling service which is provided by Kate Jefferies and Andrea Whitcher.  Kate and Andrea are both experienced, qualified (Dip Counselling) Therapeutic Counselling Practitioners and are members of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).  The BACP is a professional body who provide a framework of good practice and ethics which they both follow.

We offer a specialised, supportive and friendly service and can be there to support you every step of the way.

There maybe times where it can feel really difficult to think clearly, amongst all what may be happening to you. You maybe experiencing a whole host of emotions or it maybe that you sense nothing at all.  Counselling offers you a safe, confidential and secure place to explore your feelings, to discuss any issue, working at your pace.

When Hammer Out asked clients about their experience of counselling, these are some of the comments received…..

- “I was nervous, but the counsellor was warm and friendly; my nerves were soon forgotten”

- “It helped me see what is happening, rather than what I thought was happening”

- “At the most difficult time of my life my counsellor was available – a text message, a quick chat ….”

- “It helped me ‘normalise’ situations which were far from normal”

- “A place to off-load”

Hammer Out offers anyone who has been affected by the diagnosis of a brain tumour the opportunity to receive counselling.
